We are looking for a Maintenance Manager for the plants in the Fergana and Navoiy Region, Uzbekistan.

Our Industrial Gases business supports our clients by providing their essential gases via pipelines, tankers and packaged gas cylinders; each product manufactured from raw materials produced by large air separation and liquefier plants.

As our Maintenance Manager, you will

  • You will lead a team of 3.

  • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out according to Air Products safety procedures, ensuring KPIs are met or exceeded.

  • Ensure that effective predictive and integrity based maintenance programs are followed that are consistent with regional programs, reducing unplanned shutdowns and ultimately enhancing overall plant profitability and reliability

  • Make timely and correct decisions based on fact and sound judgement, to keep plant downtime to a minimum, in both planned and un-planned situations.

  • Locate and develop local resources (contractors, vendors, etc.) for improved plant support.

  • Ensure the Preventative Maintenance system is appropriate for the equipment and periodically evaluate the program’s effectiveness and modify accordingly to ensure that optimum reliability/cost benefits are maintained.

  • Have systems in place such that unplanned (emergency) breakdown. situations are dealt with in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner in order to get the equipment operational with the minimal disruption to plant on-streams.

  • Offer front line leadership to contractors and the maintenance team in all situations, pulling together and co-ordinating the appropriate resources to deal with all maintenance related issues.

  • Gather all relevant information in order to help ensure that all maintenance is carried out in the most cost-effective manner, taking into account the cost of execution relative to downtime and business area needs.

  • Prepare yearly and multi-annual maintenance budget and control its execution.

As the Maintenance Manager, you already are or have

  • Fluency in English and Russian/Uzbek is required

  • Engineering degree mechanical/electrical/instrumentation

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of maintenance within engineering environments such as the power, petrochemical, steel, oil and gas industries, waste management or material handling.

  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across all levels (technical and non-technical)

  • Knowledge and experience of preventative maintenance systems, budgeting, planning and cost management

  • Ability to troubleshoot and make good and timely decisions in a high-pressure situations

  • Proven track record of good people management skills

  • Flexibility in terms of changing priorities, workload and working hours

Work conditions and benefits package

  • Salary is paid twice a month in Uzbekistan sums

  • Work schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (Monday – Friday)

  • The workplace is located on the territory of the plant in Fergana, Fergana Region

  • When relocating to Fergana a housing allowance is provided to an employee to rent an apartment (the allowance amount depends on the number of employee's family members)

  • Assistance with relocation (managing all required migration documents and relocation of the employee and family members to the place of destination)

  • Annual leave – 21 calendar days. The company also provides additional leave of 7 calendar days per year
