MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

You will serve as a MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING Cmd SE of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.

You will be Able to Plan assignments of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week basis to accomplish work assigned to the shop.

You will be Able to carry out EEO policies and procedures to ensure all subordinates are treated equally when making decisions concerning qualifications, selections, assignments, training, promotion, details, discipline and awards.

You will be Able to balance workload between subordinates by adjusting assignments as necessary to meet project deadlines.

You will be Able to establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher-level supervisors.

You will be Able to participate with Production Division senior leadership in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and recommendations as to scheduling projected work.

You will be Able to review and analyze performance metrics and investigate work-related problems such as excessive costs, quality issues, completion timeliness issues, or low productivity and determine cause and take corrective action.

You will be Able to assign jobs and work to subordinates based on priorities while considering the process difficulty, requirements of assignments and availability of materials.

You will be able to apply knowledge of the proper use of tools and equipment, safe practices and the operation of new equipment.

You will work with the PWD Safety Manager to comply with all applicable safety and occupational health program requirements for subordinates and ensure that employees have a safe work environment both within the Shops spaces and on the job sites.

You will be Able to apply knowledge of and/or skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs, cost estimating and MAXIMO to produce a variety of documents.

You will be Able to hold employees accountable for both performance and behavior and provide training/counseling and/or disciplinary action when required.

You will communicate well, both orally and in writing.

You will be Able to actively participate in a variety of personnel matters, including performance ratings, disciplinary and commendatory actions, recruitment, temporary assignments, separations and level one grievances.
