Ready to step up and lead — without stepping off the tools?

Timbertruss runs advanced automated manufacturing — CNC machinery, industrial robots, conveyors — and we need an experienced fitter who’s ready to own the night shift. You’ll stay hands-on while coordinating the team, driving communication, and making sure night shift runs safely and to standard.

Rate $64.09 per hour inclusive of night shift loading | Tools, uniform & PPE provided | Staff discounts at Bowens

The Role

This is a working team leader position — you’ll be on the tools every shift while also coordinating the night shift crew across breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and project work. You’ll lead the start-of-shift DMS, manage handover communication between shifts and departments, and ensure all work is completed safely, to standard, and recorded in MEX (our CMMS).

You’ll need:

· Cert III – Mechanical Trade (C10 Fitter)

· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

· Manufacturing maintenance background

· Confidence leading a team and running shift communications

· Strong safety mindset and commitment to work standards

Highly regarded:

· Welding & fabrication capability

· CMMS experience (we use MEX)

· Continuous improvement mindset
