Position Summary:

To assist in all functions of plant maintenance. Primary responsibilities for support are assisting in preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installation of plant equipment, machinery, and buildings in a safe and professional manner. Work within the guidelines of good manufacturing practices at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures using troubleshooting methods and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on conveyors, bucket elevators, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and other plant equipment.
  • Install replacement components including motors, reducers, belts, chains, sprockets.
  • Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and findings accurately in the CMMS.
  • Execute planned work orders and preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
  • Fabricate parts and perform welding, cutting, drilling, and fitting as required.
  • Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space, and electrical safety requirements.
  • Communicate equipment issues, repair status, and improvement opportunities to supervisors and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company food safety, procedures, policies, and cleanliness of the shop and work areas
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervision or management
