Maintenance Tech
Essential Job Functions

Guest Room & Public Space Maintenance: Response swiftly and professionally to guest room maintenance requests (TLCs/work orders) including plumbing, basic electrical, lighting, PTAC/HVAC units, and television/connectivity issues.

Carpentry & Cosmetics: Repair, install, and maintain drywall, wallpaper, ceiling tiles, and trim. Perform routine painting and touch-ups in guest rooms, hallways, and common areas.

Basic Plumbing & Electrical: Diagnose and repair minor plumbing leaks, clear clogged drains, and replace fixtures (faucets, showerheads, toilets). Replace basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, and light bulbs safely.

Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute the hotel’s routine preventative maintenance program for guest rooms and mechanical equipment to extend asset life and minimize unexpected downtime.

Curb Appeal & Grounds: Maintain the exterior property appearance, including trash removal, basic landscaping/gardening upkeep, and seasonal snow/ice removal from walkways.

Safety & Compliance: Practice safe work habits, utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain compliance with OSHA, MSDS, and local life-safety codes (fire extinguishers, exit signs, emergency lighting).

Guest Relations: Interact with guests in a warm, polite, and helpful manner, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while working in occupied spaces.

Team Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments to prioritize room readiness and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
Job Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in general maintenance, building trades, or hotel operations required.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Technical or trade school coursework in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is highly preferred.

Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities across multiple trades; proficiency with a wide variety of hand and power tools.

Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and alternating shifts or on-call rotations as business demands change.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb ladders for extended periods.

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
