Glenmont Job Corps Center, operated by Adams and Associates, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities and Maintenance Team. In this role, you'll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where young adults can learn, grow, and prepare for successful careers.

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep our campus operating safely and efficiently by:

  • Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and facility systems.
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests and completing work orders accurately.
  • Inspecting building systems to ensure everything is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Researching and recommending replacement equipment when needed.
  • Assisting with oversight of contractors performing repairs or equipment installations.
  • Supporting and mentoring students participating in work-based learning opportunities.
  • Maintaining the appearance and functionality of campus buildings and grounds.
  • Providing student transportation when needed.
  • Planning and prioritizing assignments to meet deadlines while delivering quality workmanship.
  • Collaborating with staff across departments to provide an outstanding experience for students.
  • Serving as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and respect.
  • Promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus environment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
