Maintenance Technician A (vehicles)
Location: Indianapolis, IN (North Side)
Schedule: 1st shift openings for Sr Technician, 2nd and 3rd shift openings for Jr. Technician
Pay: $28-$38/hour + $2500 Sign-On Bonus

Position Overview
Under the guidance of a lead or supervisor, you'll perform maintenance and repairs on diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment. This includes working on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using modern diagnostic tools.
You'll tackle a variety of repairs each day, from preventative maintenance to complex system troubleshooting--all in a well-equipped shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment
- Perform repairs on:
- Engines and transmissions
- Braking systems (air and hydraulic)
- Suspension, steering, and drivetrain components
- Hydraulic and electrical systems
- HVAC systems
- Complete preventative maintenance and inspections
- Conduct welding and light fabrication as needed
- Maintain accurate service documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and safety programs
Technician Levels A-Level Technicians
- Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs
- Strong working knowledge across most systems, including:
- Engine, transmission, diesel emissions
- Electrical and hydraulic systems
- Suspension, steering, and drivetrain
- Handle routine maintenance and mid-level repairs, including:
- Brake replacements
- Preventative maintenance (oil, fluids, filters)
- Tire work
- Basic electrical troubleshooting
- Hydraulic system basics (cylinders, components)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks or similar equipment
- Ability to perform repairs with minimal supervision in key systems
- Valid driver's license required
- Own tools required
Preferred (not required):
- ASE certifications (T1-T8)
- CDL (Class B or higher)
- Experience with alternative fuel systems (CNG/LNG)
