Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Salary: $15/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am – 4:30pm with on-call rotation every 3 weeks.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Has verifiable general maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, & electrical.
• Knowledge of basic tool and equipment operation & maintenance.
• Senior Living community experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:

1. Stands, bends, lifts and moves throughout the facility and local community during workday.
2. Must be able to lift and transfer up to fifty pounds.
3. Subject to exposure to infectious waste and disease (HBV and HIV)
4. Must be able to push vacuums, extraction machines, mop buckets throughout facility. Must be able to push/pull up to 90 pounds.
5. Subject to exposure to chemicals. Please read MSDS book for detailed description of chemical use.
6. Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, involved instructions.
7. Must be able to perform duties under stress when confronted with emergency, critical unusual or dangerous situations or when working speed and sustained attention are critical aspects of this job.
8. Able and willing to utilize provided safety equipment and comply with expectations.

General Summary:

The Maintenance Technician responsible for the vacuuming, mopping, stripping, waxing, extraction of facilities floors; carpeted and non-carpeted. Keeping carpets and floors clean and sanitary at all times in accordance with department and facility standards and practices, as well as performing other duties as assigned such as: Window cleaning, room cleaning, and other janitorial duties as assigned.
