Position Summary:

This position is the second of four levels of maintenance technician work to be performed at Wilcox & Flegel facilities throughout the Northwest. Facilities include but are not limited to Convenience Store/Gas Stations, Card Lock Fueling facilities, Bulk Petroleum Terminals, Office Buildings, Warehouses, and other company support facilities. The Facilities Maintenance Technician II will perform a variety of services from preventative maintenance, general maintenance, cleaning, installation, servicing, and repair of equipment, systems, and facilities. This individual will be primarily responsible for general, non-specialized basic carpentry, electrical maintenance, plumbing, construction, and simple maintenance of equipment. Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Performs general, non-specialized tasks in the maintenance of Company facilities.

  • Performs basic carpentry, electrical maintenance, plumbing, construction, and simple maintenance of equipment.

  • Performs regular inspection, testing and repair of petroleum equipment, fuel storage systems, and fuel dispensing systems.

  • Acts as Person In Charge (PIC) for over the water product transfers.

  • Responsible for underground storage tank (UST) pre-inspection in partnership with environmental department ahead of regulatory agency inspection to ensure proper tank function and compliance.

  • May act as back up to maintenance of Company Card Lock sites. Responsibilities includes facility cleaning; pressure washing driveways and fuel islands, parking lot debris cleanup and removal, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning fuel dispensers, and basic fuel pump part maintenance and repair.

  • Records parts and materials used and requests new parts and materials through computerized maintenance management system software.

  • Completes basic facility maintenance and repair, including but not limited to; non-license required basic electrical and plumbing work, HVAC cleaning and preventive maintenance, and light construction work.

  • Completes basic equipment maintenance and repair, including but not limited to: fuel dispenser filter replacement, hose, nozzle, swivel and breakaway replacement, card reader equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, assistance with fuel sampling and phase separation issues, and proving meters for proper calibration.

  • Responsible for additional preventive maintenance including but not limited to; sticking fuel storage tanks for water, upkeep of oil/water separator and catch basin conveyance systems, upkeep of fuel product labeling, and basic troubleshooting of fuel dispensing systems.

  • Participates in Emergency Spill Response and Clean Up as needed.

  • Performs general grounds keeping and cleaning of equipment, and facilities including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.

Safety Sensitive Position:

  • This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing, as well as random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing. The results of this testing will be a condition of employment.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1 year in maintenance environment required

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 2 years in a maintenance environment preferred

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations (note if Required or Preferred):

  • PIC (must obtain as soon as able)

  • TWIC (must obtain as soon as able)

  • Drivers License

  • Ability to meet and maintain an MVR that meets our MVR criteria

  • A/B Operator UST Certified
