An Omni Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, equipment and systems to ensure efficient operation. This specific position will work primarily on the auto shredder operation.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, project work and installation of new equipment
- Welding and fabrication as needed
- Work with chemicals that require full face respirator or SCBA
- Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation
- Monitor and ensure safe work practices
- Cover maintenance vacations
- Perform all other tasks assigned by leadership
Qualifications
Required:
- Excellent safety record
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work with others
- Previous industrial maintenance experience
- Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude
- Ability to pass FIT test for full face respirator and SCBA
Preferred:
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Electrical experience
- PLC knowledge
- Formal electrical or automation training
- Basic knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
