Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance for manufacturing equipment.
Essential Functions
- Assists in the die cast machine lubrication process
- Provides equipment filter changes
- Understands the function of all die tooling micro switches on die cast tooling and be capable of checking these devices and wiring.
- Understands die cast machine cycles, operation and programming of auto ladles and reciprocators
- Furnace operation including fabrication of thermocouples
- Provides building and grounds maintenance
- Provides wastewater operation assistance
- Any other duties assigned
- Drilling and tapping; basic machine shop work
- Mechanical repairs including extracting broken bolts
- Welding and fabrication
- Electrical wiring, conduit installation and hardwiring trouble shooting
- Hydraulic repairs on pumps, valves, cylinders. Knowledgeable of hydraulic hose, pipe tubing and fittings.
- Hydraulic system knowledge to include pre-charging and bleeding accumulators, relief valve settings and pressure switch settings.
- Properly set up die cast machine strain gages
- Support equipment maintenance and operation (pumps, air compressors), HVAC equipment maintenance
