Position Summary

The Major Accounts Manager develops and maintains relationships with large key accounts to provide dedicated customer service and promote natural gas technology and use. Through their relationships and industrial technical knowledge, they are able to identify and optimize margin opportunity for the company. Understand and use the Elizabethtown Gas Tariff to the benefit of the customer and the organization. This is an excellent mid-career opportunity for someone that enjoys navigating diverse technical sales opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain customer relationships with Elizabethtown Gas designated strategic accounts; e.g. pharma, power generation, renewable fuels, industrial manufacturing, data centers, etc.
  • Identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities; power generation, internal combustion/I.C., turbines, other, industrial boilers, chillers, combined heat & power, alternative fuels, etc.
  • Create demand for domestic and clean natural gas and energy efficiency opportunities thus raising their profile with major accounts customers
  • Achieve revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per new and existing major accounts.
  • Maintain industry technical expertise to brief and support the senior management with addressing the organization's product/service strategies and customer needs.
  • Contribute complex support to production, or operations teams with accountability for performance and results within your own discipline or function.
  • Adapts and implements various departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
  • Ensure decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan with guidance from senior manager
  • Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers

Qualifications

Required background:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Effectively sell, listen, and communicate with customers
  • Provide benefits of natural gas appliances over competitive fuel appliances
  • Compare carbon footprint of buildings based upon energy used
  • Understand “Energy Efficiency” strategies and terminology
  • Handle multiple technical tasks concurrently
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Organizational skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of city and state building and land regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering and architectural plans

Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
