MAJOR GIFTS MANAGER

SUMMARY

Led by the Director of Development, the Major Gifts Manager will be responsible for identifying, securing, and maintaining a portfolio of individual and corporate donors capable of making contributions of $10,000 or more to support Opportunity Village's mission and long-term financial goals. This includes prospect research, developing effective solicitation strategies, and stewarding donors throughout the major-giving process, all of which contribute to the annual Resource Development team goal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Identify, cultivate, and secure major gifts ($10,000 and above) from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
  2. Conduct research to identify the goals, net worth, charitable donation history, or other data related to potential donors using technology and resources such as iWave, and DonorPerfect.
  3. Create and execute personalized strategies for each donor, including face-to-face solicitations.
  4. Develop and implement strategies and approaches to advance donors to higher levels of giving.
  5. Manage the acknowledgment process for individual donors to ensure all thank-you correspondence is thoughtful, timely, and accurate.
  6. Write and produce high-quality proposals and reports, and work with the Communications team as needed to develop major gift collateral.
  7. Build relationships with donors and ensure all major donors receive appropriate, consistent recognition and an accounting of the impact of their donation.
  8. Attend community events, meetings, and conferences to promote Opportunity Village's mission, solicit donations or sponsorships, and build relationships.
  9. Assist with executing fundraising events that could be scheduled during evening and weekend hours.
  10. Ensure all donor information remains confidential and records are accurately maintained in the donor database.
  11. Participate in departmental and organizational meetings and training as required at multiple campus locations.
  12. Some travel to various locations in the Las Vegas area and between Opportunity Village campuses.
  13. Must be able to meet all requirements of OV vehicle policies and travel:
  • Between worksite locations
  • Within the community
  1. Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
  2. May be assigned other duties as needed.
