Malay Language Preschool Educator

RegularJob Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and implement the Malay language programme in accordance with the centre’s curriculum framework, policies, and ECDA requirements.
- Prepare and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning resources to support children’s language development.
- Create and maintain a stimulating, engaging, and language-rich learning environment that promotes children’s curiosity and learning.
- Observe, assess, and maintain accurate records of each child’s progress, and support their individual educational and developmental needs.
- Prepare and complete children’s progress reports each semester and maintain an updated developmental portfolio for every child.
- Communicate regularly with parents on their child’s well-being, progress, and development through the Parents-Teacher Communication Booklet and other communication channels. Review and respond to parent messages promptly.
- Build and maintain positive and collaborative partnerships with parents and families.
- Ensure effective classroom management and carry out routine care duties to maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children.
- Collaborate closely with fellow educators and centre staff to support programme delivery and centre operations.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (DECCE-T) / Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Malay Language), recognised by ECDA.
- Relevant certifications in Early Childhood Care Education such as DPT, CPT, DPL, ACEY.
- Fluent in spoken and written Malay language, with strong ability to teach and communicate effectively with young children.
- Valid First Aid Certification will be an added advantage
- Minimum 1 year of relevant teaching experience in a childcare or preschool setting.
- Passionate about nurturing and educating preschool children aged 2 to 6 years old.
- Positive working attitude, with strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Willingness to travel between centres to conduct Malay language classes, where required.
