Job Description
The Regional Sales Team is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Account Executive to join the team and manage relationships with key clients in Mexico. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is passionate about building strong partnerships, and has a relentless drive to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
The Account Executive is an individual contributor responsible for driving sales, business development, and client relationship management across an assigned portfolio of accounts. This role focuses on identifying and securing growth opportunities, strengthening executive and working-level client relationships, and positioning Visa as the preferred strategic partner. The Account Executive will lead a consultative sales approach, align client priorities with Visa’s capabilities, and deliver revenue, payment volume, and market penetration objectives. This person will also be responsible for managing ongoing client needs, maintaining strong account performance, and ensuring a high-quality client experience that supports long-term growth and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development and relationship management for assigned clients, aligning objectives, priorities, and resources between Visa and client organizations.
- Identify, originate, and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships through a consultative sales approach.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans with clear objectives, growth priorities, and measurable outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships across multiple levels of the client organization and act as a strategic advisor by understanding client priorities, challenges, and decision-making processes.
- Position Visa’s products, solutions, and services based on a strong understanding of client strategies, market dynamics, competitive activity, and digital trends.
- Manage sales pipelines and commercial initiatives end to end, including opportunity development, internal coordination, client alignment, and delivery follow-through.
- Deliver financial objectives, including revenue, payment volume, and market penetration targets for assigned clients.
- Monitor client performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to optimize portfolio growth and return on investment.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to bring the right expertise, solutions, and resources to clients and ensure strong execution of business development initiatives.
- Conduct business with the highest level of integrity and ethics across all stakeholders.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or other client-facing commercial roles.
- Knowledge of and interest in the payments and technology industry, with a solid understanding of the acquiring business and acceptance landscape.
- Client-centric mindset with experience managing key accounts and stakeholders, ideally within financial institutions, consulting firms, or related industries.
- Strong ability to manage and grow client relationships while identifying new revenue opportunities and executing against commercial objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Leverage AI tools and technologies to improve productivity in day-to-day responsibilities.
- Ability to use AI tools effectively to streamline daily tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of work.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and presentation capabilities, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to translate data and insights into compelling client-facing materials.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- High learning agility, strong sense of ownership, professionalism, accountability, integrity, and passion for sales.
