Manager, Admin

As a Admin Manager, you will be a key member of the school’s administrative, finance and facilities team, working closely with the Principal in establishing a culture of holistic care and providing positive learning experience for the students and fostering a culture of learning and teaching, collaboration and innovation among your staff. In addition, you will work with the Principal in driving the school strategic planning to ensure efficient management of resources and achieve excellence in school administration and operational support.

Your key responsibilities include working with and supporting the Principal in the following areas:

1. Holistic Student Care

  • Co-lead in managing the systems, infrstructures and processes to ensure that the individual needs of the students are carefully evaluated and appropriate programmes are selected for the holistic development of the students

  • Lead in the creation and development of a safe and conducive learning environment.

2. Quality Staff

  • Supervise and evaluate school staff in relation to the learning management of students, school administration and operational support.

  • Provide feedback, mentoring and coaching and direction to the team to enhance their overall effectiveness.

  • Work with Key Personnel and Reporting Officers in implementation of performance management structures and processes and employee rewards processes for the professional development and growth of the team.

3. Partnerships and stakeholder engagement

  • Build close working relationship with the parents of students, volunteers, vendors and partners to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiencies of AWWA School.

  • Co-lead in forging strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders – community, parents, SMC, alumni commercial partners, mainstream school partners, families/caregivers, etc.) to enhance the positive learning experience for the students.

4. Organisational Management and Development

  • Co-lead in the implementation and management of an effective organization and administrative system (e.g. SOP, MRF, etc.) for controlling, administering, deploying and monitoring of financial and manpower resources of the school.

  • Work with team to ensure accurate and timely submissions of reports and documents to funding agencies and external partners.

5. Other areas

  • Oversee the management of day to day administration of the school

  • Lead in security and emergency planning of the school.

Undertake any other relevant duties as and when assigned by the Principal, AWWA CEO/COO or SMC.

Minimum Education / Qualifications:

  • Diploma

Other Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of general management experience

  • Prior experience working working with persons with disabilities is an added advantage

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and leadership skills

  • A strong passion, commitment and willingness to go the extra mile

  • A dynamic and highly driven individual with strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
