DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Manager, APAC Regional Manager, located in North Ryde, New South Wales, Australia.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This role provides regional leadership for Global Security across the APAC region, ensuring the protection of people, assets, operations, and intellectual property while enabling business continuity and growth. The Manager, APAC Regional Manager works closely with regional and global partners to deliver consistent, compliant, and riskbased security programs aligned with enterprise standards.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by shaping regional security strategy, responding to evolving risk environments, and supporting a dynamic, geographically diverse business footprint across APAC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and execute the APAC regional Global Security strategy in alignment with enterprise policies, standards, and risk tolerance.

  • Assess, manage, and mitigate security risks across offices, manufacturing sites, R&D locations, and distribution facilities in the region.

  • Partner with Global Real Estate, Facilities Management, Corporate Operations, and business leaders to embed security requirements into site operations and projects.

  • Oversee incident management, investigations, and crisis response activities, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and local authorities to ensure effective and compliant security services.

  • Support business continuity, emergency preparedness, and resilience planning across the APAC region.

  • Provide guidance, training, and awareness programs to promote a strong security culture.

  • Monitor regional security trends, geopolitical developments, and regulatory requirements, advising leadership on emerging risks and mitigation strategies.

ABOUT YOU

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (e.g., Risk Management, Business, or related field).

    • Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in corporate, regional, or enterprise security roles.

    • Demonstrated experience managing security programs across multiple countries or markets, preferably within APAC.

    • Strong knowledge of physical security, investigations, incident management, and risk assessment.

    • Proven ability to partner effectively with crossfunctional and senior stakeholders.

    • Experience managing thirdparty security vendors and service contracts.

    • Strong judgment, decisionmaking, and communication skills in highpressure situations.

    Desirable:

    • Master’s degree or equivalent advanced education preferred.

    • Experience supporting global or matrixed organizations in regulated or complex environments.

    • Familiarity with business continuity, crisis management, and emergency response frameworks.

    • Exposure to security technology solutions (e.g., access control, surveillance, alarm systems).

    • Experience collaborating with Real Estate, Facilities, or Corporate Operations functions.

    • Professional security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) preferred.

    Other:

    • Language requirements: English (business fluent); additional APAC languages a plus.

    • Travel: Limited; up to 25–30%, primarily regional (APAC), with occasional international travel.

    • Certifications: CPP, PSP, or equivalent security certifications preferred.
