Responsibilities

Continuing medical education promotes continuous improvement in patient care by providing high-quality education for physicians. The overall goal of the program is to

• Increase professional knowledge

• Improve professional competence, performance, and patient outcomes and

• Expand and organize systemwide continuing medical education.

• Assist physicians in obtaining necessary continuing medical education for re-licensure, re-credentialing, and re-certification

Responsible for administrative oversight of Continuing Medical Education at Piedmont Healthcare and ensuring program objectives are achieved, and accreditation standards are met.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in a relevant field such as Education, Public Health, Nursing, or Healthcare Administration required

Work Experience

  • 2 years in (1) the execution of graduate medical education programs, including the development of course objectives and curricula, (2) developing, organizing, and coordinating educational conferences for physicians and allied health care professionals, and (3) project management skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities, and work independently to make decisions required
  • Experience working in healthcare preferred
  • Experience with the use of web conference platforms preferred
  • Experience in creating and managing budget portfolios for department projects preferred
  • Event planning experience including basic knowledge of catering, audio visual and venue selection highly preferred
