Position Summary:

CVS Health is seeking a high-impact Manager, Corporate Development, to help drive the company's inorganic growth strategy. The Corporate Development team serves as a key driver of CVS Health's strategic growth, primarily responsible for acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and recapitalizations across the enterprise. Working closely with business segment leaders and cross-functional partners, the team maintains an inorganic strategy and list of opportunities, facilitates the process to buy, sell and recapitalize strategically important inorganic opportunities. In addition, Corporate Development measures and reports on the performance of previous transactions to various internal stakeholders.

As a Manager, Corporate Development, you'll help drive our established inorganic opportunities by:

  • Analyzing target companies to assess their strategic and financial fit within the CVS Health portfolio.

  • Leading due diligence and support transaction negotiations, including dialogue with internal (e.g. Finance, Legal, Human Resources, etc.) and external (e.g. investment bank(s), financial due diligence provider, etc.) teams

  • Constructing materials vital for evaluation by senior executives, communicating with internal and external stakeholders

  • Building and maintaining financial models to evaluate M&A opportunities, including valuation analysis (DCF, comparable companies, and precedent transactions), scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis to support investment recommendations and strategic decision-making

  • Supporting ad-hoc projects in support of executive leadership’s goals

  • Leading and mentoring high performing junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth

** This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence in Hartford, CT two days a week. **

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience, preferably in healthcare services in the U.S. (with a focus on payer and provider end-markets)

  • Understanding of accounting, tax and cross-functional project management

  • Shown presentation skills, including familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Proven financial modeling and valuation skills

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in investment banking, private equity, and/or corporate development at a large enterprise

  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written, with executive presence and the ability to influence across functions at all levels of an organization

  • Highly organized and able to provide positive leadership across multiple work streams in a fast-paced, complex working environment

  • Validated project management skills with an emphasis on integrating multiple work outputs into a unified deliverable and executive narrative

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and structured thinking and execution, with the ability to lead multiple tasks at a time; adjusts priorities as needed to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrates high level of independent judgment and proactivity

Bachelor’s Degree; equivalent years of related professional work experience may substitute

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$101,970.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
