MANAGER - CORPORATE PLANNING
Job Duties:
- Support group companies in Southeast Asia and India, especially in the areas of business management, business planning and strategic activities.
- Governance and monitoring against the business performance of the group companies: including but not limited to Sales, Profit/Embedded Value, Solvency position, Agency performance and key GCs initiatives’ progress (monthly / quarterly / annually).
- Review GCs’ Ad Hoc Strategic Project that requires shareholder’s funds or capital. Examples of projects includes but not limited to: M&A, new distribution channels, new product lines, new reinsurance arrangements, new investment initiatives and updates in IT core system change.
- Support the attendees of Board of Directors meeting held at the group companies.
- Conduct the roles as shareholders of the group companies, for example important decision making, communications with regulators, discussions with joint venture partners.
- Report to the parent company located in Tokyo: including but not limited to tabling important GC topics to Management Committee at TMHD cooperating with the counterparty in Headquarter.
- Business Expansion planning in India, including market research and M&A activities.
- Attend multiple internal committees
- Overseas’ business travels are required
Requirements:
- University Degree with professional insurance qualifications
- 5 years of experience in insurance industry
- Knowledge of Business Development and/or Underwriting and/or Finance and/or Accounting
- Excellent communication skills, with counterparties both internal and external
- Analytical with good report writing, presentation and communication skills in English and Japanese
- Proficiency in Japanese language is required to liaise with Japan HQ and to read Japanese reports/documents
