Manager Data & Analytics (f/m/d)

Mission Brief

As Manager, Data & Analytics, you will lead a team that is responsible for providing the data infrastructure and analytical tools for the company’s ground infrastructure and launch vehicles systems, ensuring reliability, security and scalability for the systems. This includes overseeing software development (front- and backend), software infrastructure and data processing. You will act as a product lead next to disciplinary responsibilities.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

  • Ensure reliability, security and scalability of the data infrastructure and analytical tools by enabling the team with the right environment and skills.
  • Lead and oversee software and infrastructure delivery, focusing on predictable, highquality execution
  • Know your technical stack and provide guidance for your engineering team.
  • Lead and support engineers and product owners through regular 1:1s, feedback, and career development.
  • Build a high-performing team by fostering clarity, stability, and a strong engineering culture.
  • Plan and coordinate engineering work together with Product Owners to ensure realistic commitments and transparent delivery.
  • Monitor and report team performance and delivery health; surface risks early and drive mitigation as well as track product success metrics to ensure a clear product scope, definition, and lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to improving engineering processes, transparency, and ways of working at a team and organizational level.
  • Ensure effective alignment and collaboration across engineering, product, operations, and leadership

Qualification Checklist

  • A degree in software engineering, computer science, data science or similar
  • More than 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data infrastructure, analytics engineering, or backend development, including architecture design and bestpractice development workflows
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams, including technical mentorship, performance management, and building strong engineering culture
  • Strong expertise in designing, operating, and scaling data infrastructures, such as data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, data processing frameworks, and storage systems
  • Experience with front and backend development related to data products, analytics platforms, internal tools, or dashboards
  • Handson experience with data processing and visualization technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, .NET, data modeling, dashboards, or telemetrybased visualization tools)
  • Solid understanding of reliability, security, observability, and scalability requirements for missioncritical data systems
  • Highly organized and proactive with high attention to detail
  • Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to set technical goals, KPIs and manage performance
  • Fluent in English

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience working with aerospace ground systems, telemetry data, missioncontrol analytics, or realtime operational data flows
  • Expertise with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), distributed systems, or on-prem architecture
