Manager

Legal Research & Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth legal research on U.S. federal and state laws, regulations, and case law.
  • Prepare 50-state surveys on statutory, regulatory, and case law issues.
  • Research statutes, regulations, administrative codes, agency guidance, and court rules.
  • Identify jurisdictional differences, trends, and conflicts across states.

Research Deliverables & Documentation

  • Prepare clear, concise, and well-structured research memoranda, charts, and summaries.
  • Provide accurate citations following accepted U.S. legal citation standards.
  • Translate complex legal concepts into attorney-ready or client-ready formats.

Advanced Research Tools & Databases

  • Perform advanced research using Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Utilize secondary sources such as treatises, practice guides, and law reviews.
  • Cross-verify research results to ensure accuracy and currency.

Quality Control & Updates

  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure completeness and correctness.
  • Track legal updates and revise existing surveys as laws evolve.
  • Proactively flag significant legal changes and jurisdiction-specific nuances.

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including attorneys, and project managers on status updates.
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of production tasks.
  • Support multi-jurisdictional processes (civil, WC, federal, state-level requests).

Required Qualifications

  • LLB degree from a recognized institution (Mandatory)
  • 9-12 years of hands-on U.S. legal research experience
  • Proven experience with 50-state surveys and multi-jurisdictional research
  • Advanced proficiency in Westlaw and LexisNexis (Mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing research guidance to junior researchers or project teams
  • Experience coordinating research workflows, prioritizing requests, and managing deadlines across multiple matters
  • Ability to contribute to knowledge management initiatives, including research templates, playbooks, or internal reference materials
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex legal research into clear, actionable insights for attorneys or clients
  • Results-oriented mindset with experience supporting quality, accuracy, and turnaround-time metrics

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with Bluebook or other U.S. citation standards
  • Excellent statutory and case law interpretation ability
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle multiple research assignments under deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
