ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking to recruit a talented, highly numerate, self-motivated individual who shares our values to join the Group’s management team as Manager - Financial Reporting.
The successful candidate will have the responsibility of providing financial support and guidance to the Catering Division and support to the Group Financial Controller of GEL.
This position reports to the Divisional Finance Lead of GCG and the Group Financial Controller of GEL.
The position will be based at the GEL Head Office in Barbados.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Manager - Financial Reporting, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Providing technical support to the Cluster Financial Controllers across GCG
Working with the Group auditors and Cluster Financial Controllers across GCG to ensure that all audit issues are resolved in a timely manner
Reviewing all financial reports (and other reports) before submission to Head Office
Reviewing all Budget reports before submission to Head Office
Providing guidance on the application of IFRS across GCG
Liaising between Group Finance and Divisional Finance team
Tracking and reporting any inaccuracies related to accounting and reports to Divisional Finance Lead (GCG) and the Group Financial Controller (GEL)
Assisting the Group Financial Controller (GEL) in reviewing the monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports
Assisting in the annual group audit and preparation of the annual report
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A professional accounting designation (ACCA, CGA/CPA)
3-5 years’ post qualification experience in a senior role
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and their application
KEY COMPETENCIES:
High numerical and analytical skills
Strong leadership with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
Deadline-driven with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
Computer literate with a strong background in information technology particularly with regard to knowledge of accounting software packages
