What you'll be doing
- Define and track the full growth funnel — from install through activation, retention, and monetization
- Build and manage CRM and lifecycle programs that drive activation, retention, and repeat engagement across the user journey
- Run a structured experimentation roadmap (A/B tests across channels, creative, audiences, and lifecycle journeys) and turn results into scaled wins
- Work closely with product, data, and creative teams to improve onboarding, engagement, and the commerce experience
- Plan and run user acquisition campaigns across paid channels to hit install, activation, and cost targets
- Own performance marketing day to day — budgets, bidding, creative testing, and channel mix — and continuously improve CAC, ROAS, and conversion efficiency
- Partner with channel and platform contacts to unlock new growth levers and stay ahead of changes in the Japan market
Key Requirements:
- Around 4–7 years of experience in growth, user acquisition, performance marketing, or CRM/lifecycle — ideally for a consumer app or digital product in Japan
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with funnel metrics, cohort and retention analysis, CAC/LTV, and attribution
- Experience with CRM, lifecycle, or marketing-automation tools and building multi-channel engagement programs
- Hands-on experience running paid acquisition across major channels and managing meaningful budgets to clear targets
- Business-level Japanese and English
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience growing a mobile consumer app at scale (millions of users), ideally with a commerce or content component
- Familiarity with mobile measurement and analytics tools (e.g. AppsFlyer, Adjust, Amplitude, Firebase, GA4)
- Experience with Apple Search Ads, ASO, or the specifics of Android/iOS acquisition in Japan
- Exposure to commerce, e-commerce, or transaction-driven growth
- A self-starter who owns targets, moves fast, and is comfortable building without a fixed playbook
