Manager, IT Operations

As a Manager, IT Operations, you will lead the strategy, governance, and day-to-day management of enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms that support a global workforce. This role combines technical expertise with people leadership, giving you the opportunity to drive operational excellence while shaping the future of modern workplace technologies. You will oversee a team of engineers and administrators, ensuring the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of mission-critical SaaS platforms and collaboration tools. Working across cross-functional teams, you'll influence technology roadmaps, optimize service delivery, and champion automation and innovation. Accountabilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and administrators responsible for enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms.
- Oversee 24/7 operational support, including incident management, on-call coordination, service reliability, and escalation processes.
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex platform issues, outages, integrations, and operational challenges.
- Manage the administration, governance, lifecycle, and continuous improvement of platforms including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Slack, Five9, Google Workspace, and related enterprise applications.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing ITIL and ITSM best practices across incident, problem, change, request, knowledge, and major incident management processes.
- Lead platform governance initiatives, licensing optimization, automation strategies, and AI-driven productivity enhancements.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, identity management, compliance, legal, and business teams to ensure secure and reliable platform operations.
- Manage vendor relationships, technology roadmaps, operational metrics, capacity planning, budgeting, and executive reporting.
- Support enterprise transformation initiatives, including platform migrations, system consolidations, acquisitions, and modernization projects.
- Develop operational standards, documentation, monitoring solutions, knowledge bases, and continuous service improvement programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience managing enterprise IT operations, collaboration platforms, or SaaS technologies.
- At least 3 years of experience leading and developing technical teams.
- Strong expertise administering Microsoft 365, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Power Platform.
- Experience supporting enterprise collaboration technologies such as Slack, Five9, Google Workspace, and cloud-based productivity platforms.
- Strong understanding of ITSM and ITIL frameworks, including incident, problem, change, and service request management.
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives, platform migrations, automation projects, and enterprise SaaS governance.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, API integrations, authentication technologies (SSO, SAML, OIDC, SCIM), and enterprise application connectivity.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance strategic planning and operational execution.
- Experience with AI-powered productivity solutions, vendor management, compliance, and service delivery best practices is highly desirable.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and work during the designated shift of 7:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. IST.
