DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Manager, Italy, located in Aprilia, Italy.
This role serves as the HR leader for Italy, partnering with business leadership to deliver people strategies that enable business performance, growth, and organizational effectiveness. The Manager, Italy provides end‑to‑end HR leadership across talent, labor relations, employee engagement, compliance, and change management. This is a visible role with direct impact on business outcomes, culture, and employee experience during a period of transformation and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary HR business partner for Italy, aligning people strategies with business objectives and country priorities.
Lead and execute all core HR processes, including workforce planning, talent management, performance management, compensation, and employee relations.
Ensure compliance with Italian labor laws, collective agreements, and internal policies; manage relationships with works councils and external labor bodies as required.
Coach and advise leaders on organizational design, change management, leadership effectiveness, and employee engagement.
Drive a positive, inclusive culture aligned with the Johnson & Johnson Credo and DePuy Synthes values.
Partner with regional and global HR teams to implement enterprise HR programs and initiatives at the country level.
Support business transformation activities, including organizational changes, integration, and workforce transitions.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field required.
Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Experience and Skills
Required:
Typically requires 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility, aligned to a manager‑level HR role.
Strong knowledge of Italian labor law, employee relations, and works council engagement.
Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders in a complex, matrixed organization.
Proven ability to lead change initiatives and support business transformation.
Strong coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience implementing HR programs across talent, performance, and engagement.
Preferred:
Experience in a multinational or highly regulated environment (e.g., MedTech, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing).
Prior country‑level HR leadership experience.
Experience supporting organizational separations, integrations, or major transformations.
Familiarity with global HR operating models and shared services environments.
Other:
Languages: Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken) required.
Travel: Up to 10–20%, primarily within Italy and occasional international travel.
Certifications: HR certifications (e.g., labor law, HR management) preferred but not required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€56,100.00 - €96,945.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
