About the Team

This team drives the growth of the Star Plus brand and its content across television and OTT platforms. The team is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that maximize audience reach, engagement, and affinity for Star Plus content across linear television, OTT, and digital ecosystems. By combining consumer insights, content understanding, and data-led decision-making, the team ensures that Star Plus continues to strengthen its position as a leading entertainment brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute integrated marketing strategies for Star Plus content across television, OTT, and digital platforms to drive audience engagement and brand growth.
  • Lead marketing initiatives for new content launches, tentpole properties, and ongoing programming, ensuring maximum visibility and audience impact across relevant platforms.
  • Analyze viewership, consumption, and campaign performance data to identify growth opportunities, optimize marketing investments, and generate actionable insights.
  • Develop and manage the creation of compelling marketing assets and promotional campaigns tailored to different audience segments and media platforms.
  • Collaborate with Programming, Content, Product, and Digital teams to ensure content is effectively positioned and promoted across television and OTT touchpoints.
  • Drive audience engagement initiatives by leveraging consumer insights, social listening, and performance data to enhance content discoverability and viewership.
  • Identify emerging trends in content consumption, entertainment marketing, and audience behavior to strengthen the Star Plus brand and content portfolio.
  • Partner closely with Digital Growth Teams, Product Marketing, Social Listening, Analytics, Consumer Insights, and Creative teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and reporting.
  • Manage relationships with creative, media, digital, and research partners to deliver high-impact marketing campaigns.

Skills & Attributes for Success

  • Strong understanding of entertainment marketing, audience behavior, and content consumption across television and OTT platforms.
  • Ability to interpret audience, campaign, and content performance metrics to drive strategic marketing decisions.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple consumer touchpoints.
  • Strong storytelling and content marketing capabilities, with the ability to translate programming strategy into compelling consumer-facing narratives.
  • Familiarity with OTT platforms, digital marketing channels, and social media ecosystems.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting recommendations and campaign outcomes to senior stakeholders.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in content marketing, brand marketing, consumer marketing, or audience growth within media, entertainment, broadcast, OTT, or related industries.
  • Experience working across television and/or OTT content ecosystems will be preferred.
  • Postgraduate qualification required (MBA in Marketing, Media, Communications, or equivalent preferred).
