Manager, Quality Assurance

Position Summary, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

  • Expectations:
    • Leads team with confidence and acts as primary point of accountability for Vietnam QA delivery
    • Coaches and develops team members, writes and maintains PDPs, conducts regular 1:1s
    • Communicates clearly and proactively with QA leadership in Europe; English B2 minimum
    • Manages autonomously and escalate only when necessary
    • Technically credible across manual testing and test automation
  • Responsible for:
    • Leading, managing, and developing the Vietnam QA team (manual and automation engineers)
    • Collaborating with QA leads in Europe on cross-functional test planning and release readiness
    • Owning formal assessments, performance reviews, and people development plans
    • Supporting the evolution of test automation infrastructure in partnership with the Germany team
    • Representing the Vietnam team in leadership discussions and cross-functional forums
    • Ensuring quality standards and test coverage across all assigned Elgato product lines

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience managing QA or engineering teams in a fast-moving, product-focused environment
  • Technically credible across manual testing and test automation; team respects your judgment
  • Clear, confident communicator in English (B2 minimum); daily collaboration with global counterparts
  • Builds trust quickly, holds people to a high standard, brings out the best in engineers
  • A constructive challenger who speaks up in a way that moves things forward
  • Comfortable with autonomy and accountable for outcomes
  • A plus: experience with test automation frameworks (Python/TypeScript); ISTQB Foundation or equivalent; background in consumer electronics or desktop software QA
