Overview
As a Manager on our Digital Video Investment team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to client counterparts as well as internal team members. Additionally, you will be looked to as a thought leader in the Digital Video and Programmatic media space, with expertise spanning Connected TV (CTV), Streaming, Online Video (OLV), YouTube Video and DSP-based activation. You will help guide the team through strategy, activation, optimization and execution of a client’s business.
This involves having expertise in Digital Video activation and Programmatic buying, including campaign setup, audience targeting, inventory management, optimization, and measurement across DSPs and streaming platforms. Managing the overall budgetary process across Digital Video authorizations is an integral part of the position.
A successful Digital Video Investment Manager must be an effective communicator and possess the ability to lead other team members as well as collaborate with all other key disciplines (strategy, analytics, ad operations, and data science). This position requires a strong level of integration among their client team within Hearts & Science as well as across other partner Agencies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Digital Video and Programmatic media, with expertise across Connected TV (CTV), Online Video (OLV), Streaming and Programmatic Video activation
- Hands-on experience activating campaigns within leading DSPs, including DV360 and YouTube Video
- Strong understanding of Digital Video planning principles and the ability to support strategic media plans through effective activation and optimization
- Extensive knowledge of audience-based buying, programmatic marketplaces, private marketplace (PMP) deals, and data-driven targeting strategies
- Thorough understanding of media measurement, attribution, and performance optimization across Digital Video channels
- Media/business acumen with the ability to translate client objectives into scalable media activation strategies
- Understanding of the client's industry and the evolving Digital Video ecosystem
- A solid understanding of the skills and functions of the Investment side of the business, as well as knowledge of Strategic Business Units’ competencies
Responsibilities
- Activate and optimize Programmatic Video campaigns across Connected TV (CTV), Online Video (OLV), Streaming and YouTube Video environments
- Execute media buys within DSPs, including DV360 and other programmatic buying platforms, ensuring campaigns are launched accurately and optimized against KPIs
- Partner closely with Planning teams to understand strategic media recommendations and support campaign execution, pacing, optimization and reporting
- Translate media plans into actionable campaign setups, ensuring alignment between audience strategy, inventory selection, creative requirements and measurement frameworks
- Supervise development, implementation, optimization, negotiation and maintenance of Digital Video media plans
- Manage Digital Video budgets across brands, campaigns, platforms and partners
- Monitor campaign performance and provide optimization recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Responsible for communicating with management on account and group status in a professional manner befitting a senior-level team member
- Responsible for facilitating each team member’s development (Senior Associates and Associates)
- Manage and build solid client relationships
- Manage the flow of client media-related issues. Create solutions and resolve problems
- Interview applicants for junior-level positions
- Lead relationships with key creative agencies to ensure seamless integration of creative assets across Digital Video channels
- Lead key vendor relationships, including DSPs, streaming publishers, data providers and measurement partners
- Represent and promote the interests of Hearts & Science internally and externally
- Effectively motivate, lead and train the entire team to maximize shared objectives
- Meet with media sales executives, platform partners, and industry representatives on a regular basis to pursue ideas that are strategically aligned with the client's business and foster strong relationships between Hearts & Science and the marketplace
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, privacy regulations, and innovations in Programmatic, Streaming, CTV and Digital Video measurement
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
