Manufacturing Assistant

As a Manufacturing Assistant, you will be the backbone of our production floor, playing a
crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly, safely, and eIiciently. This is a
dynamic, hands-on position ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to
learn the trade in a high-tech CNC environment. You will be responsible for supporting our
Manufacturing Specialists (Machine Operator & Quality Control team members) by
maintaining equipment, performing post-processing on precision metal parts, and
upholding the organization of our state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities
• Machine & Equipment Support: Perform routine CNC machine upkeep, including
topping oI fluids, monitoring and adjusting coolant concentrations, and managing
scrap material disposal.
• Quality Control & Finishing: Execute detailed post-machining processes, including
hand-finishing, deburring, and parts washing to meet precise quality standards.
• Logistics & Material Handling: Prepare finished components for shipment by
carefully sorting, packaging, and labeling products according to work instructions.
• Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
throughout the machine shop, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
• Process Improvement: Adhere to all work instructions while actively looking for
opportunities to enhance eIiciency and contribute to a culture of continuous
improvement.
• Team Collaboration: Proactively identify and report potential machine issues, such
as leaks, and assist maintenance personnel with repairs as needed.
Required Qualifications
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a strong, reliable work ethic.
• Ability to consistently lift and move objects up to 40 lbs throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods in a manufacturing
environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
accurately.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Familiarity with hand finishing tools (e.g., grinders, sanders, deburring tools).
• Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed to meet
production goals.
This position operates on a 9/80 schedule, which oIers an excellent work-life balance.
• Available Shifts:
o 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM
o 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• The 9/80 Advantage: Over a two-week period, you will work eight 9-hour days and
one 8-hour day. This schedule provides you with a bonus off day every other week!
Specific days off are coordinated with your direct supervisor.
