Frencken Mechatronics is involved in the development and assembly of industrial systems or the semiconductor industry, the healthcare market, and a wide range of analytical applications. The high-quality precision mechanical parts, machine assemblies, and vacuum systems are assembled in both clean room and non-clean room environments. As a service provider, Frencken Mechatronics also produces high-quality precision components and modules for leading clients in the high-tech industry.

  • Monitor and improve production performance including yield, FPY, scrap, and rework.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to resolve assembly and testing issues on production modules.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) and provide technical evaluation for product acceptance or rejection.
  • Liaise with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely closure.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions (8D) for production and quality issues.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain production layouts, assembly processes, and workstations to support efficient manufacturing.
  • Create, update, and control manufacturing documents including Work Instructions (WI), Process Flow (PF), Process Control Plan (PCP), and PFMEA.
  • Conduct cycle time studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing to meet production demand.
  • Design, review, and release jigs, fixtures, and special tools to support assembly and testing operations.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives focusing on productivity, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.
  • Train and guide operators and technicians on new processes, tools, and work instructions.
  • Manage production special tooling and coordinate facility maintenance when required.
  • Provide technical input for DFM/DFA reviews with customers and internal teams.
  • Support internal, external, and customer audits (ISO and customer-specific requirements).
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) on documentation and technical review.
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives through process optimization and design-for-manufacturing improvements.
  • Able to work in cleanroom environments and travel overseas when required.
  • Perform ad-hoc engineering assignments as assigned.
  • Define preventive maintenance (PM) requirements

Skill set:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • SolidWorks knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure.
  • Able to read mechanical drawings with basic understanding of GD&T.
  • Knowledge in lean six sigma is a plus.
