Manufacturing Operations Project Coordinator

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Operations Project Coordinator to support customer orders and production projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is a great fit for someone early in their project management career who enjoys coordinating multiple departments, monitoring production schedules, and ensuring customer orders move efficiently from order entry through final shipment.
You'll work closely with operations, engineering, production, supply chain, quality, and logistics teams to help keep projects on schedule while maintaining accurate order information and clear communication.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate configure-to-order (CTO) and quick-ship manufacturing orders from initial receipt through shipment and project completion
Review incoming sales orders for accuracy, product configuration, and completeness
Monitor project progress, including material availability, production schedules, testing activities, and shipping timelines
Maintain accurate project and order information within ERP and project tracking systems
Partner with production, supply chain, engineering, quality, and shipping teams to support daily operations
Communicate order status, schedule updates, and potential delays to internal teams and customers
Identify potential scheduling or delivery issues and escalate concerns before they affect project deadlines
Assist with shipping coordination, logistics documentation, and customer-specific shipping requirements
Prepare project updates, order status reports, and other operational reports
Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on scheduling, order management, and workflow efficiency
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
1–3 years of experience in project coordination, order management, operations, manufacturing customer service, or inside sales support
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with ERP systems and project tracking software
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting electrical, industrial, or electromechanical manufacturing operations
Knowledge of configure-to-order (CTO) or make-to-order manufacturing processes
Exposure to power distribution equipment or industrial products
Experience coordinating logistics and shipments for manufactured goods
CAPM certification or an interest in pursuing a project management certification
