Marine Personnel Officer

Areas of Responsibility & Job Description:

1. To assist the crewing team in day-to-day crewing operation.

2. Keep close contact with Ship’s masters, manning agencies, port agencies, flag state, etc.

3. To brief/debrief crew, and entertaining crew when appropriate.

4. To prepare crew master plan for certain rank group.

5. Monthly planning of crew rotation schedules and inform the relevant parties.

6. Arrange crew signing on and co-ordinate crew signing off affairs.

7. Monitor joining/onboard crew holding the appropriate cert of National/Flag State.

8. Push certificates and Flag state Endorsement and update.

9. Update certificates status via PAL system.

10. Handling crew payroll.

11. Assisting the vessels as and when practical.

12. Keep filing as per filing instruction.

13. Offer service to the crews, crew’s family and the communication between crew and the family.

14. Assist in ad-hoc projects and reports.

15. Organize crews and family gatherings, conferences and parties.

16. Execution of tasks assigned by the Crewing Manager.

Qualification:

1. Bachelor degree and higher, Merchant Marine preferable.

2. With crewing experience and/or marine experience 3 years above.

3. Fluent in English - oral and written.

4. Good writing and communication skills

5. Be skilled in MS Office software.

6. Have knowledge in payroll applications.

7. Have a good knowledge of maritime certification.

8. Have a general knowledge of maritime personnel functions.

9. Ensure thorough accuracy in every detail.
