SYBO is part of the Miniclip family and known for the widely popular game, Subway Surfers - the most downloaded mobile game in the world, with over four and a half billion downloads. Located in the heart of Copenhagen, we aim to create playful moments that inspire our fans to care.

As our next Marketing Artist, you'll help bring the worlds of Subway Surfers and Subway Surfers City to life for millions of players around the globe. One week you might be creating a vibrant Key Art for a new destination update. The next, you'll be crafting playful social content packed with character, comedy, and those little storytelling details that make fans stop scrolling and smile.

As an example, Subway Surfers travels to a new destination every three weeks, which means there's always something new around the corner. New characters. New stories. New campaigns. New creative puzzles to solve.

This isn't a role where you'll spend months polishing the same artwork. It's extremely fast-moving, varied, and full of opportunities to create fresh new work while collaborating with an incredibly creative team.

You'll be creating Key Arts from concept to final delivery, contribute ideas that shape campaigns, and help define how players experience the Subway Surfers universe beyond the game itself.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling Key Arts for marketing campaigns, from concept through final delivery

  • Produce marketing assets across app stores, social media channels, and campaign touchpoints

  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Lead, the Creative team, and Player Experience team to bring campaigns to life

  • Maintain and evolve the visual quality and consistency of Subway Surfers marketing materials

  • Contribute creative concepts, visual ideas, and storytelling approaches across campaigns and content initiatives

  • Create character-driven illustrations and storytelling assets that expand the Subway Surfers universe

  • Respond to trend-driven opportunities and support fast-turnaround social media content when needed

  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders while balancing creativity, quality, and campaign objectives

Life at SYBO

In your first month...

You'll get to know the Subway Surfers universe, our characters, our visual style, and how marketing campaigns come together. You'll build relationships across Creative, Brand and Player Experience while contributing to your first marketing assets and becoming familiar with our creative workflows.

Within 3 months...

You'll confidently own and deliver Key Arts with support from the Creative Lead, contribute ideas during creative discussions, and navigate multiple update cycles simultaneously. You'll have developed a strong understanding of Subway Surfers characters, lore, and storytelling, allowing you to create meaningful, funny, and engaging moments for our social channels and campaigns.

By 12 months...

You'll be a trusted creative voice within the team, shaping the visual direction of campaigns and contributing ideas that resonate with millions of players worldwide. You'll consistently create memorable artwork that captures the playful spirit of Subway Surfers while helping evolve how our stories are told beyond the game.

Requirements

  • Strong illustration skills with the ability to create polished, character-driven artwork

  • Experience creating Key Art, promotional artwork, or large-scale campaign visuals

  • Some Graphic design skills and an eye for composition, typography, and visual communication

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Ability to create engaging character and environment artwork that supports visual storytelling

  • Experience creating marketing art that brings humor, personality, and memorable storytelling moments to life, ideally within games, mobile games, or entertainment.

Bonus Points

  • Experience or curiosity working with AI tools - We do not believe in replacing creativity with AI, but rather using tools to help behind the scenes research.

  • Familiarity with Blender, Unity, or other 3D tools and workflows
