If you love writing, storytelling, and helping families find the support they need, this role might be your next step at Embark Behavioral Health. The marketing team is looking for a Copywriter who can turn real stories, clinical expertise, and our mission into clear, helpful content that families trust. You'll work with clinicians and program leaders to create writing that does more than market Embark. It gives families a place to start healing.

Responsibilities

  • Writing original content — Create first drafts from scratch, then use AI tools to refine, edit, and improve them.

  • Interviewing clinicians and families — Capture real stories and insights that make our content meaningful and trustworthy.

  • Improving website content — Update pages based on what families search for, what performs well, and what needs clarity.

  • Owning the content calendar — Plan what gets written, when it gets written, and keep everything moving.

  • Repurposing content — Turn long pieces into shorter versions for email, social, press releases, and paid ads.

  • Protecting privacy — Stay within HIPAA and privacy rules; flag anything clinically questionable before publishing.

  • Supporting GEO/organic visibility — Help create content that AI tools (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, etc.) cite when families search for help.

  • Maintaining Embark’s brand voice — Keep our writing consistent, warm, and clinically accurate across all channels.

  • Editing teammates’ writing — Provide feedback that improves clarity, accuracy, and storytelling.

  • Collaborating across teams — Turn requests from programs, admissions, clinical, and marketing into finished copy.

  • Reviewing performance — Look at what’s working, what’s not, and share insights with leadership monthly.
