Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partner to the GM
- Serve as the GM’s right arm in refining Masimo Japan’s five-year strategy and shaping the future direction of the business.
- Act as a senior thought partner to the GM on business growth, portfolio priorities, market development, organization capability, and commercial transformation.
- Contribute as a core member of the Japan Leadership Team, bringing a strategic marketing and market insight perspective to broader management discussions.
- Help identify the key strategic choices Masimo Japan needs to make in order to accelerate growth and strengthen its competitive position.
- Translate the GM’s vision and business priorities into actionable marketing and commercial strategies.
- Support cross-functional alignment across Sales, Clinical, Regulatory Affairs, QA, Service, Finance, Operations, and regional/global stakeholders.
Required Experience and Capabilities
- Significant experience in strategic marketing, upstream marketing, commercial strategy, market development, business unit leadership, portfolio management, or related leadership roles.
- Strong experience developing growth strategy, market strategy, business plans, or portfolio strategies in Japan.
- Ability to serve as a strategic partner to a GM, Country Manager, Business Unit Head, or senior commercial leader.
- Strong understanding of upstream marketing, including market assessment, customer insight generation, opportunity sizing, segmentation, positioning, value proposition development, and portfolio prioritization.
Experience leading or influencing mid- to long-term business planning, ideally including three- to five-year strategy development.
Preferred Experience
- Medical device, healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, digital health, consumer health, or other regulated product experience.
- Experience in patient monitoring, critical care, hospital equipment, medical technology, diagnostics, or clinically oriented healthcare products.
Experience in both B2B healthcare and consumer-oriented or patient-oriented healthcare products.
