Marketing Intern - Fall 2026
First United Bank is seeking a part-time Marketing Intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 semester.
Essential functions:
- Assist Marketing team and collaborate on various marketing tasks and projects.
- Help coordinate branch/department sponsorship, promotional item and print advertising requests.
- Update and maintain current information on social media outlets.
- Provide support in other duties as assigned.
Project Overview:
- Assist with corporate branding initiatives.
- Assist in major marketing initiatives and assist in the development and execution of the marketing plan.
- Help develop marketing plans for specific target markets with unique product and service needs.
- Assist in developing and executing social media strategy across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Advertising:
- Work closely with Marketing Director to create a comprehensive marketing campaign that provides a unified image for all bank services.
- Coordinate graphic development and production with the outsourced advertising agency.
- Coordinate advertising materials and promotions.
- Contract management (includes communication with ad agency, requesting and outlining the ad design, placing the ad, approving ad).
- Research information used in company collateral pieces.
- Help generate content and updates for all social media outlets.
- Create public relations opportunities for Banking Center markets.
Social Media:
- Create engaging, on-brand content including video, photography, and graphics
- Ensure all content aligns with the Bank’s brand voice, visual identity, and messaging standards
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, schedule, and publish social media content
- Stay up to date on social media trends and recommend new content ideas and strategies
Internal Culture:
- Help coordinate Bank and community service events and promotions.
- Work with Community Relations Coordinator to track and monitor employee involvement.
Miscellaneous:
- Help with distribution of promotional orders.
- Participate in job specific training, various bank training programs, and comply with and all bank policies and procedures
