Marketing & Outreach Spec (Comms)

This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner.

It oversees the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the largest mortgage insurer in the world, and regulates important parts of the housing industry. The Office of Housing is committed to building and preserving healthy neighborhoods and communities through homeownership, rental housing and healthcare opportunities. As a Marketing & Outreach Spec (Comms), you will: Serve as the Marketing Outreach Specialist (Communications); advisor to the Associate General Deputy Assistant Secretary (AGDAS). Acts a technical consultant and advisor responsible for developing strategies, analyzing; and producing multi-channel written and visual communications tactics for communicating and marketing Office of Housing programs, and working with Office of Housing/FHA program offices on communications strategies, positioning and tactics. Develop, recommend, and communicate national policy guidance, procedures, campaigns, and plans for the effective implementation of Office of Housing's programs and objectives. Write comprehensive communication plans and supporting tactics; creates content for Office of Housing and FHA's stakeholder communities; and disseminates and formats emails and social media for delivery through a digital content management system and the Office of Housing's social media handles.

The official duty station for this position will be in Alexandria, Virginia. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal. Key Requirements: Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. A probationary or trial period may be required. Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
