Markets Asset Servicing - Income Analyst

As an Asset Servicing Income Analyst in the Markets Asset Servicing Operations Income team, you will process income events such as dividends, coupons, and redemptions across regions. You will manage claims collection and payments, perform reconciliations, and resolve breaks to support timely and accurate outcomes. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve exceptions and maintain strong controls. You will contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to improve quality and productivity.
Job responsibilities
- Complete pre-event reconciliations and pay-date processing for income events to avoid client and desk impact.
- Manage payable and receivable claims with internal and external counterparties, including stock borrow/loan, market-related claims, coupons, and repo-related claims.
- Reconcile cash, wash, suspense, and control account breaks; prevent aging items and drive issues to resolution.
- Act as an escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders, including trading, middle office, finance, and operations.
- Maintain procedures and ensure compliance with firm policies, controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Identify control gaps, perform root-cause analysis, and support remediation activities.
- Drive process improvements and support automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Provide timely updates on open items, pipeline status, and deadlines to stakeholders.
- Support cross-training and knowledge sharing to strengthen team resiliency.
- Produce metrics and reporting to support performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Three years of relevant experience in asset servicing (income and/or corporate actions) or market operations processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to independently identify, assess, and escalate issues.
- Strong judgment and ability to develop actionable recommendations from complex operational scenarios.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels and across regions.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to partner with internal teams, external clients, and third-party service providers.
- Ability to manage tight delivery timelines and prioritize concurrent tasks effectively.
- High attention to detail and ability to validate inputs and identify exceptions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience using data transformation or analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx; SQL, Python, SAS, or equivalent tools).
- Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView/QlikSense, or equivalent).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Understanding of delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and associated design techniques.
- Business analytics or project management certification.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Python, Alteryx, Tableau).
- Experience supporting process change initiatives and operational transformations.
- Prior experience supporting client coverage and service models in operations.
- Series 99 license is a plus (not required).
