Masonry Foreman
Position Summary:
The Masonry Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily masonry operations within a precast concrete manufacturing environment. This role oversees crews performing masonry-related work including block, brick, stone, grout, mortar, and repair work associated with precast concrete products and structures. The Masonry Foreman ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards, production schedules, and construction specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead masonry crews in the production, installation, repair, and finishing of precast concrete products and structures.

Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members based on production schedules and project priorities.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and production schedules.

Ensure proper layout, alignment, and installation of masonry components.

Monitor workmanship and ensure all work meets quality standards and customer specifications.

Coordinate material, equipment, and labor needs to maintain productivity and efficiency.

Train and mentor employees on masonry techniques, safety procedures, and company standards.

Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times.

Conduct daily safety meetings and jobsite inspections.

Inspect tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper maintenance and safe operation.

Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Track labor hours, production progress, and material usage.

Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.

Assist with troubleshooting and resolving field or production-related challenges.

Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness standards are maintained in all work areas.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 5 years of masonry experience required.

Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred.

Experience in precast concrete, construction, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of masonry methods, materials, and tools.

Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.

Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and safe work practices.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Basic computer and reporting skills preferred.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the workday.

Frequently lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in outdoor and industrial manufacturing environments with varying weather conditions.

Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, forklifts, and machinery as required.
Work Environment
This position operates in a precast concrete manufacturing facility and construction environment. Exposure to dust, noise, heavy equipment, and varying temperatures is expected. Proper PPE must be worn at all times.
