MASTER CARPENTER
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to plan and execute carpentry work
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other materials with precision
- Lead and supervise junior carpenters and apprentices on-site
- Oversee construction, installation, and repair of structures such as frameworks, cabinetry, furniture, doors, and fixtures
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other trades
- Inspect completed work and perform adjustments or repairs as needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
- Estimate material requirements and assist with project costing
Requirements
- Proven experience as a carpenter, with several years in a senior or master-level role
- Advanced knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments
- Familiarity with safety standards and building regulations
- Relevant certifications or vocational training preferred
