Master Thesis - Concept Design for Industrial Machinery
Master Thesis - Concept Design for Industrial Machinery
Reimagining the Future of Homogenizer Design
Are you a creative design student with a passion for form, storytelling, and conceptual thinking? Do you want to explore how design can shape the future of industrial machinery? We are offering a master’s thesis opportunity for a student in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
The assignment
The objective of this thesis is to think freely and creatively and develop a concept machine, inspired by how the automotive industry uses concept cars to explore future design directions.
Rather than designing a production-ready product, you will:
- Explore bold ideas for form, surface, proportions, and visual identity
- Create a conceptual homogenizer that challenges existing industrial design norms
- Help us explore the foundation of a potential future design language for our homogenizers
Working within the material context of stainless steel–dominated industrial machinery, you will explore how form, proportion, surface, and detailing can elevate a functional machine into a strong design statement.
The work will be exploratory, visionary, and concept-driven, with a strong focus on visual expression and design philosophy, not engineering constraints.
What we are looking for
- A student studying Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, or similar
- Strong visual and conceptual skills
- Interest in industrial products, machinery, or complex technical systems
- Ability to communicate ideas through sketches, renders, visuals, and narrative
- A curious mindset and willingness to challenge conventions
What we offer
- A real-world industrial context combined with high creative freedom
- Access to insights about homogenizers, applications, and users
- Support and mentorship throughout the thesis
- An opportunity to influence how our future products may look and feel
Outcome
The final result may include:
- Concept visuals (sketches, 3D renders, mood boards)
- A clear design narrative and design principles
- A conceptual machine that represents a possible future direction for our brand and products
