PRI is seeking a Material Expediter<\/b> to support logistics operations at Edwards Air Force Base.\nThis role involves managing materials, equipment, and property across various\nlogistics functions including supply chain, transportation, and mail services. The Material Expediter<\/span> will\nperform duties primarily associated with SCA Labor Category Material\nExpediter <\/i>from the SCA Directory of Occupations 5th<\/sup> edition<\/i>.<\/span>

Duties include but are not\nlimited to:
<\/p>

  • Be assigned to one or more work areas to support\ncontract Logistics Services consisting of: <\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li><\/ul>
    • Supply\nand Materials Management<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Equipment\nManagement<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Property\nDisposal<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Transportation\nManagement (including shipping and fleet management)<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Mail\nManagement<\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul><\/blockquote>
      • Perform shipping and receiving duties to include\nwarehouse support
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Support multiple aircraft programs at both 703\nand main NASA AFRC
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Perform duties found <\/span>within the Performance Work <\/span>Statement (PWS) Section 7, Transportation Management Operations, especially\nsection 7.15 Freight, to support PWS Section 4, Supply and Materials Management\nand Section 5, Equipment Management in accordance with NASA Instructions and\nTechnical Directives
        <\/span><\/li><\/ul>
        • Provide\ntransportation services IAW 49 CFR, NPD 6000.1, Transportation Management<\/i>,\nNPR 6000.1, Requirements for Packaging, Handling, and Transportation for\nAeronautical and Space Systems, Equipment and Associated Components<\/i>, NPR\n6200.1, NASA Transportation and General Traffic Management<\/i>, \u201cNASA Fleet\nManagement Handbook\u201d<\/span>
          <\/li><\/ul><\/blockquote>
          • Utilize NASA provided computer equipment and\nsoftware/databases to perform required job duties
            <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
          • Be familiar with NASA publications, forms, and\nregulations listed in the PWS and how all work activities are performed in\naccordance with those references
            <\/span><\/li>
          • May\n be tasked, trained, and perform duties as a non\-CDL Truck Driver or\n Material Handling Equipment operator, including operating: Medium Trucks,\n Forklifts, and Specialty Material Handling Equipment
            <\/li>
          • Locates\n and moves materials and parts between work areas to expedite processes according\n to pre\-determined schedules and priorities
            <\/li>
          • Maintain\n records, inventory reports, and work orders to determine types,\n quantities, and availability of required material according to NASA priorities

            Requirements<\/h3>
            • <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience working in a warehouse or other\nindustrial environment and/or experience with driving trucks and/or other\nnon\-CDL required vehicles
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Experience in using computers as part of a\nmilitary or civilian retail / store / warehouse environment
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Must pass NASA forklift training and\ncertification and pass NASA physical to receive forklift license
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Ability to obtain and retain a Secret security\nclearance
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Must be able to clearly read, write, speak, and\ncomprehend English
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively\nverbally and via email
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Must have current state driver\u2019s licenses to\noperate materiel handling equipment and up to a medium duty, non\-Commercial\nDriver\u2019s License required, truck
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Clean driving record
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Ability to perform the physical requirements of\nthe position including being on your feet most of the day and lifting\nrequirements
              <\/span><\/li>
            • Ability to be trained in the use of warehouse\ntools and manual material handling equipment
