Material Handler - Precast Concrete

Position Overview:

Wausau Tile is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Material Handler to support our Site Furnishings team. This role is responsible for staging, loading, and securing products for shipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable operating forklifts and cranes, and thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use forklifts and overhead cranes to stage and load products for outgoing shipments.

• Safely position and secure products using strapping, banding, padding, and other stabilizing methods.

• Interpret shipping documents, production schedules, and spec sheets.

• Prepare products for shipment by drying, thawing, and packing accessories as needed.

• Assist with material prep for signage, sealing, staining, and other tasks across departments when required.

Tools & Equipment Used:

• Forklifts (sit-down & walk-behind), gantry cranes, nylon/chain slings

• Hand and pneumatic tools (grinders, sprayers, palm sanders)

• Pallet jacks, carts, and sealant/spray equipment

• Acrylic ovens and solvent-based cleaning supplies
