Matter Expert Oncology
Overview
A new opportunity has opened up for an experienced in vivo oncology expert (m/f/d) to join our team in Gräfelfing, Germany.
In this role, you will act as a key scientific interface between Crelux, our clients, and the global technology platforms within the WuXi AppTec network. You will combine deep scientific expertise with a strong client focus to support oncology drug discovery projects and enable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert (SME) for in vivo oncology pharmacology
- Support business development by identifying and shaping new project opportunities
- Serve as primary scientific contact for European clients
- Understand client needs and provide expert guidance on oncology-related services and solutions
- Collaborate closely with internal and global (WuXi) scientific teams to stay aligned on capabilities and developments
- Translate client requirements into tailored scientific proposals and solutions
- Support preparation and delivery of scientific presentations, proposals, and RFP responses
- Participate in client meetings and technical discussions, ensuring clear communication of scientific concepts
- Provide scientific input and training to internal teams involved in client interactions
- Represent Crelux at scientific conferences and industry events
- Gather market and client insights to support service development and innovation
Qualifications
- PhD or MD in Oncology, Pharmacology, Life Sciences, or a related field
- At least 8 years of experience in oncology research and drug development
- Strong expertise in in vivo pharmacology models
- Experience in client-facing or advisory roles within CRO, pharma, or biotech
- Deep understanding of oncology drug discovery (target validation to preclinical development)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Fluent English language skills
- Experience working in international and cross-cultural environments
- High level of initiative, organization, and adaptability
- Willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally internationally
