MD Capital Markets Corp Finance - Consumer & Retail

Citizens Capital Markets & Advisory is currently seeking a Corporate Finance Managing Director with a desire to work in an entrepreneurial, growing organization. This person would come in with established Corporate and Financial Sponsor relationships within the Consumer & Retail industry sector to help facilitate strategic dialogue with existing and new bank customers. You would serve as the primary architect of client discussions and presentations, alongside Citizens Capital Markets product colleagues, while managing the origination and execution of debt, M&A, and equity transactions. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Architect strategic ideas, research industry notes and trends to present to clients as well as internal risk management.

  • Establish and cultivate long-term relationships at the C-suite level with Healthcare companies and Financial Sponsors

  • Collaborate on cross-sell efforts with Citizens Commercial Bankers into an industry specific client base

  • Help prepare and present offering materials to potential investors and rating agencies, negotiate critical structural elements with client and investors

  • Attend industry related conventions and conferences, to establish new and build on existing relationships while identifying industry trends

  • Liaise with risk management to ensure that appropriate credit and market risks are identified and addressed

  • Maintain effective license to operate by sustaining a high level of trust and confidence by senior line and risk management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in Investment banking and/or Capital Markets with a top ranked investment bank of commercial bank

  • Demonstrated, long-term client relationships in the Capital Markets Consumer sector, preferably within Consumer Products and Beverage sub-sectors

  • Proven experience working with Debt and Equity Capital Markets, and leading M&A mandates

  • 4 year degree from an accredited university

  • Master's degree preferred, but not required

  • Series 79 & 63 licenses

  • Effective verbal and written communication and influencing skills

  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task

  • Strong credit acumen with superior market risk knowledge

Hours and Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40+

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
