Mech Design Engr II

Your role will also include overseeing, supervising and reviewing tasks performed by team members to ensure effective execution of work; managing end‑to‑end processes and projects for both internal and external clients with responsibility for timely and accurate delivery; issuing clear instructions and directions to team members on tasks to be performed; and mentoring and guiding junior colleagues to support their skill development, professional growth, and overall success.

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for performing and providing oversight to the Engineering-to-Order activities of Complete Combustion Solutions (CCS) engineered systems group. CCS provides turn-key combustion solutions for new or existing applications in a wide range of industrial and commercial markets. Key activities of the role include providing analysis and technical review of Requests for Quote (RFQ) and/or Customer Purchase Orders to determine design requirements. He/she will ensure the timely completion of engineering design drawings including P&ID, GA, customer approval drawings, and detailed fabrication/manufacturing drawings.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Up to 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, of which min. 1 year in design of process equipment like piping, valves, skid systems, heat transfer equipment, pressure vessels, blowers, burners, etc.
Familiarity with mechanical Piping components, and sizing.
Basic knowledge of the electrical panel design / wiring design
Willingness to travel within India and abroad for customer, vendor, and internal meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in AutoCAD, 3D product Modelling, Autodesk Inventor
Experience with SAP – sales order entry, bill of material / part number, financials, etc.
Familiarity with piping codes - ASME B31.1 and B31.3, NFPA 86 and 54
Familiarity with various global mechanical and electrical codes and standards like NFPA, NACE, UL, FM, etc.
Experience with natural gas handling; sensors, fittings, regulators.
Project Engineering and Project management experience is plus
Experience with combustion equipment and systems.
Experience with welding practices.
Knowledge of P&ID and controls systems.
Experience in mechanical design of pressure vessel and heat exchanger, and components, ASME Sec VIII, EN 13345.
