Mechanic 2

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Physical Plant Services invites applications for the position of Mechanic 2 – Bus Driver. This position is responsible for planning efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals, provide customer service, and maintain the recreational vehicle. Duties include driving, cleaning and servicing the unit, maintaining the onboard generator and preparing the vehicle for winter and performing other tasks assigned by the Mechanic Supervisor A.

Candidates must possess a valid Louisiana Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Transport Endorsement and be able to be certified through the Southeastern Defensive Driving Course. Must possess valid Refrigeration Certification.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, 30-minute lunch

Hourly Rate: $19.67

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Two years of experience as a mechanic.
