Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Familiar with different HVAC system types and their applications
- HVAC systems selection, sizing, and design (ductwork and piping)
- Experienced with Mechanical Codes and Energy Efficiency Standards
- Engineering experience with energy efficiency, developing or supporting performance-based projects or energy services
- Perform Heating, Cooling Load Calculations and Title 24 Compliance calculations using Energy-Pro and eQuest programs
- Assist with developing ability to conduct job site surveys and help to analyze solutions and installation sequencing.
- Other duties may include copying/printing/scanning, assembly of equipment submittal packages, assistance in preparing work scope and other tasks as assigned.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to write technical proposals and reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 1+ years’ experience in HVAC Design
- CEM, EIT highly preferred
- Knowledge of OSHPD codes are a plus
- Independent decision making is required
- Computer skills using MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of AutoCAD MEP or Revit is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
