Job Summary
An Mechanical Engineering Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle engine systems and related components to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle engine systems to restore optimal function
- Repair brake and steering systems to ensure vehicle safety and control
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic vehicle systems for reliable operation
- Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components to maintain vehicle performance
- Repair cooling components and systems, including air conditioners and engine cooling systems, to prevent overheating
- Perform emissions inspections, safety checks, and state-regulated vehicle examinations to comply with legal standards
- Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls of motors and gear systems to extend vehicle lifespan
- Follow supervisor instructions to complete assigned ad-hoc maintenance and repair tasks efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment to support operational safety and efficiency
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Class 3 driving licence (preferred)
